Data Fanfold Labels (also known as Computer Labels or Tractor Fed Labels) are now becoming obsolete as they were originally made for the Dot Matrix Printers with Sprocket Wheels to feed the paper through. These printers, that have been largely superseded now, were introduced in the 1970’s, and during the 80’s were the most commonly used PC printers. These have largely been replaced by thermal, inkjet and laser printers, but due to the fact that some are still in service, then the labels are still required.
As mentioned, many Dot Matrix printers have now been replaced by thermal printers, see more about Thermal labels here.
Labels are presented commonly between 1 and 4 labels across the web with a row of sprocket holes down each side of the release liner.
These labels are difficult to source as demand has decreased drastically in the last 10-15 years. Many sizes are still available from stock that haven’t yet been discontinued, Shop online or contact us for more information.
